Well, thanks to being talked down by the very sensible and experienced Deb from Urban Running Girl (lovely shrugs to be had, go buy some!) I’ve opted not to attempt back to back weekends of half marathons.
Deb pointed out that I’m going to be putting in a lot of miles while training for the Space Coast Marathon, and the Goofy Challenge, and that those races come within a month of each other. I’ve got plenty of running to do.
The plan is to run the Niagara Falls Half Marathon for the PR that eluded me in Chicago on fresh, PR hunting legs.
But, come on. A race weekend in my back yard? I have to run something!
And so, in October, I will run my first official 5K (if you don’t count the 5K on Disney’s Castaway Cay, which I don’t. Partly because I was so slow and out of shape, and partly because… well, mostly that, to be honest).
